LAN (Local Area Network) es el proyecto musical de Joaquín Ayala (1992). El disco "Death Cult" de LAN es el resultado de un proyecto que ha llevado 12 meses de trabajo. Durante este período he conocido y vivido diversas experiencias relacionadas con la muerte de seres queridos, así como el final de relaciones, ciclos de vida y perspectivas de mundo. Nace también como un cuestionamiento al estilo de vida moderno y la búsqueda incesante (y autoritaria) de la seguridad por encima de la libertad.

Con "Death Cult", me he centrado en explorar varios géneros que componen este álbum. Desde el ritmo frenético del jungle y el breakcore, pasando por los intrincados patrones del glitch hop, hasta las envolventes atmósferas del trip hop y la electrónica ambiental. Toda esta amalgama de géneros mantiene la esencia original de lo que es el proyecto LAN: un juego caótico de ritmos, texturas y sintetizadores abrasivos que buscan evocar el caos de la calle, internet y el incesante y abrumador avance tecnológico.

LAN (Local Area Network) is the musical project of Joaquín Ayala (1992). LAN's "Death Cult" album is the result of a project that has taken 12 months of work. During this period, I have known and lived various experiences related to the death of loved ones, as well as the end of relationships, life cycles and world perspectives. It is also born as a questioning of the modern way of life and the incessant (and authoritarian) search for security over freedom.

With "Death Cult", I have focused on exploring various genres that make up this album. From the frenetic rhythm of jungle and breakcore, through the intricate patterns of glitch hop, to the enveloping atmospheres of trip hop and ambient electronica. All this amalgamation of genres maintains the original essence of what the LAN project is: a chaotic game of rhythms, textures and abrasive synthesizers that seek to evoke the chaos of the street, the internet and the incessant and overwhelming technological progress.
